A Closer Look.
neonRiot is the new multi-role Red Team toolkit, planner, operator and training aid that doesn’t sacrifice on the performance or quality of each element to do it all.
C2 & Broad Offensive Toolkit
- System contains an inbuilt C2 server, allowing operators to build and execute techniques within the interface
- Each stage of the ATT&CK framework has multiple tools available, all linked in the common ways operators will want to use them
- For example: an operator can build an implant, connect it to the operation, and run it through defence evasion tools, before deploying
Planning and Teamwork
- The system is designed so a team can work on a killchain, or individuals can use a full instance themselves
- All team members are able to see the output of actions from other members
- Team members are able to communicate, collaborate, and setup peer review of actions before they are executed
Formal and OTJ Training
- Every tool in the system has an extensive offline documentation and guidance library
- Library is kept up to date through in life support
- Video demos are provided for more complex tools to allow operations to truly understand what they are doing and how the tool works
- Operators can train just one step or a whole killchain
How NeonRiot Stacks Up.
The state of red team tools isn’t great. While there are more options than ever, commercial tools are expensive and too much ‘on rails’ restricting their flexibility. Open source solutions have their own issues like only performing one or only two steps of a kill chain, overly technical and lacking support, and often too easy to detect in most cases.
